Reiki Treatments
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique for stress reduction and relaxation that translates to "spiritually guided life force energy." It was first discovered by Mikao Usui in 1922, and was further developed by Chujiro Hayashi and Hawayo Takata in Hawaii. Kristen is a certified Reiki Master Teacher and Practitioner in the Usui/Holy Fire III system of healing. Holy Fire Reiki is a new form of Reiki that was introduced in 2018 by the ICRT. It is both powerful and gentle and provides purification, healing, empowerment, and guidance.
Reiki is a harmonious practice that activates the body’s parasympathetic system, which promotes healing on all levels: physical, emotional, and spiritual. In a session a client lays fully clothed, while the practitioner lightly places/hovers her hands on the client’s body. Reiki heals by flowing through the energy centers, clearing and restoring balance.
Reiki spans time and space and works beautifully remotely. With the help of Reiki symbols, Reiki is channeled across time, space, and distance; to a person, place, or event; past, present or future. Kristen performs distance Reiki similarly to in-person and may use crystals to help channel energy.
Reiki is a safe complement to all traditional and holistic modalities.
Sound Healing
Sound baths are a wonderful healing practice at the intersection of music and energy; they can provide relief from stress, anxiety, fatigue, and energetic imbalances. Specially calibrated instruments provide a sonic backdrop to assist deep rest, meditation, and relaxation. Kristen performs live in and around NYC, and offers one-on-one and group sessions, in-person and over Zoom.
Reiki Instruction
Receiving the placement (formerly attunement) to practice Reiki is a profoundly beautiful gateway that connects the student to a lifelong path of magical inquiry, mindful presence, and compassionate care. There are no prerequisites to learning Reiki Level I.
Kristen teaches a combination of the Western style as introduced by Mrs. Takata, traditional Japanese Reiki Techniques, and its newest iteration, Holy Fire. On completion of a class, you will be able to give Reiki treatments to yourself and others.
If you have received Reiki I, Reiki II study and placement includes the teaching and use of symbols to send Reiki over time and distance.
Kristen also offers practice groups and refresher courses.
Spirit Work
Spirit Work is Kristen’s line of ritual mists, founded in 2017; an aromatherpeutic tool to assist in healing work, meditation, and the creative process.
Every bottle of SPIRIT WORK is handcrafted to order by Kristen in Brooklyn, NY and is made with crystal essences in distilled water; organic, sustainable, and responsibly-sourced essential oils, and Reiki energy. Kristen ceremonially prepares the crystal essences in small batches, in harmony with the moon cycle.
SPIRIT WORK is currently available seasonally and for custom orders. Her newest offering is PORTAL, a sacred ritual oil.
